"The tradition of making deserves to be passed down — not stored in a garage."
The Maker's Wheel was born from a workshop that belonged to Grandpa Dick. The Legacy Program honors that origin by giving elder craftspeople a way to donate their tools — and see them used again by the next generation of makers.
Donated tools are accepted, restored where needed, and put into active use. Each donation is acknowledged with a named plaque on the tool. The craftsperson who donated it becomes part of the shop's history.
Every donated tool carries a plaque with the donor's name. Your craft becomes part of the shop's story.
Donated tools aren't stored away — they're restored, maintained, and used by members every day.
Every donor receives a personal thank-you from the founder, and is recognized at the space opening.
Classes, instructor-led workshops, youth programs, and space for the next generation of makers.
Skill-building classes taught by local instructors. From beginner intros to advanced techniques across all our equipment areas.
Hands-on making for younger creators. The Kids' Corner is designed for safe, guided exploration of tools and materials.
We help members sell what they make — product photography setup, packing supplies, and shipping pickup coordination.
We're launching with a full digital fabrication and textile shop — lasers, CNC, 3D printing, sewing, leather, sublimation, private studios, and the Cozy Corner. That's Phase 1.
Phase 2 brings the woodshop — hand tools, power tools, and the kind of bench work that Grandpa Dick would recognize. That's the expansion that turns The Maker's Wheel into a full community workshop.
And beyond that? The vision includes a machine shop, electronics bench, forge and welding, and paint. We're building toward a space where you can make almost anything.
Digital fab, 3D printing, sewing, leather, sublimation, private studios, Cozy Corner.
Hand tools, power tools, bench work. The expansion that completes the maker's toolkit.
Metal working, electronics, forge and welding. For the makers who want to go further.
A dedicated paint and finishing area. The full range of what making can be.
Sign up and we'll send you one email when founding memberships are available — and another when we open our doors. That's it.
